Peridot is the modern birthstones for August. Those born in this month are fortunate to be able to choose between the playful shades of light green with peridot and rich shades of purple, pink or blue with Spinel. Today we focus on Peridot.



PERIDOT: the Space gem with the color of the ricefiled


Peridot is a gem of the extreme it is created very far on the earth crest and isn't only find on earth... I personally really like this gemstone as a Cambodian country lover because it remind me the color of the ricefield after the rainy season. This intense Yellowish Green is unique from the Peridot Gemstones.


Where Does Peridot Come From ? In cambodia they come from Mondulkiri province but the first one have be found in Egypt . Peridot is the national gem of Egypt. It is believed to have adorned Queen Cleopatra VII, the great and last queen of Egypt from 51-30BC. Found also in Hawaii, peridot is a big part of the


Energetically, peridot is protecting your aura, neutrolising toxin,purify body and mind and helps you to detach yourself from other influence,negative pattern. It alleviate stress, jealousy, anger.Hawaiian people’s culture. They say Peridot are the tears of the volcanic goddess, Pele.

Durability Peridot is a durable and pretty hard gem, measuring between 6.5- 7 on the Mohs scale. It has a refractive index of 1.65-1.69, making it suitable for a variety of jewelry pieces, from rings to earrings, bracelets, and pendants.

Peridot crystals form in the earth's magma just like diamond and get erupted to the surface by a tectonic or volcanic activity.and…. in the space! In 2006, NASA’s explorer spacecraft, Stardust, returned to earth with mineral samples gathered from near the sun. Among other particles they found gem-quality peridot, thought to be as old as our solar system.
